HSK tool holders are divided into various specifications such as A type, B type, C type, D type, E type, F type, etc. Among them, A type, E type and F type are commonly used in machining centers.
1. The biggest difference between type A and type E is that type A has a transmission groove, but type E does not. Therefore, type A transmits a larger torque and can relatively perform some heavy cutting, while type E transmits a smaller torque. , only some light cutting can be done.
2. In addition to the transmission groove, the A-type tool holder also has manual fixing holes, direction grooves, etc., so the balance is relatively poor, while the E-type does not, so the E-type is more suitable for high-speed processing.
3. The mechanisms of E-type and F-type are exactly the same. The difference between them is that the E-type and F-type tool holders are called the same. For example, the tapered cloth of E63 and F63 F-type tool holders is one size smaller, that is to say, the taper cloth of E63 and F63 is smaller. The flange diameters are all 63, but the taper size of F63 is only the same as that of E50, so compared with E63, the speed of F63 will be faster because its spindle bearing is small. Type F is generally used for electric spindle flanges. Large, high-speed cutting is more stable, and some woodworking machinery and machine tools mainly used for high-speed, high-precision and light cutting of mold electrodes will choose it.
