The production cycle and clamping times of the mold are shortened, and time-consuming bench repair work can sometimes be eliminated. High-speed and high-precision processing of molds has gradually become one of the important contents of the technological transformation of mold manufacturers. It has become inevitable for high-speed CNC machining centers to replace traditional low-speed processing, and the development of mold manufacturing technology will also bring us a richer product experience. ​

 

2. The use of high-speed and high-precision machining centers with appropriate tool holder structures will also drive the update of related process equipment. In particular, the impact of cutting tools on CNC machining quality and tool holders will become prominent. In a rotary tool processing system, only a tight connection between the chuck and the machine tool (or its combination) can ensure the realization of tool processing performance. Generally, the commonly used interfaces between machine tools and tool holders include HSK hollow tool holders and BT tool holders. The taper of the taper shank interface between the machine tool spindle and the BT tool holder is 24:7. Traditional low-speed machining is suitable for this tool holder connection method. Since the BT tool holder and the machine tool spindle only fit on the tapered surface, the taper will be made under the action of high-speed centrifugal force. The surface fit gap increases, thus affecting the quality of CNC machining. Generally, when the spindle speed exceeds 16,000 rpm, we will need to use HSK hollow shank. The HSK tool holder positioning structure is over-positioning, providing a standard connection with the machine tool. Under the action of the machine tool tension, the short taper and end face of the tool holder are closely matched with the machine tool. .

 

3. Select the appropriate tool for processing. The reasonable use and selection of tools will be an important factor affecting the quality of CNC machining. Carbide cutting tools are being used more and more widely. In high-speed machining, coated carbide will replace most edge steel cutting tools, including reamers, ball-nose cutters, boring tools and other simple tools. Coated carbide will be used in high-speed machining. It plays an important role in processing tool materials and is used in most conventional processing fields. Usually we know that we will use large-diameter tools for rough machining. In order to save costs and reduce the difficulty of tool manufacturing, we will use machine clamps Type carbide inserts to maximize chip removal during roughing; use high-speed and high-feed insert cutters in semi-finishing to make semi-finishing faster; use high-precision round-head mirror inserts in finishing Carbide tool holders are used to ensure the strength of the tool and the tool holder. This will save the expensive cost of using solid alloy tools while maintaining machining accuracy. During processing, we also need to pay attention to the fact that the inner contour fillet radius of the finishing part must be greater than or equal to the radius of the tool. Select a tool with a radius smaller than the corner fillet radius to perform arc interpolation or diagonal interpolation. Processing, this can avoid overcutting caused by linear interpolation and ensure the quality of mold finishing. ​

 

4. CNC process plan In high-speed and high-precision machining, the design importance of CNC process plan has been raised to a higher status. The entire process of processing must be controlled. Any mistakes will have a serious impact on the quality of the mold, so the process plan will It will play a decisive role in the processing quality. CNC machining process design can be considered as the state control of a system process plan from the part blank to the part processing and molding. A good process plan is relatively difficult in the entire design process. It needs to be obtained after continuous practical summary and modification. A large amount of information needs to be considered in the design process, and the relationship between the information is extremely complicated. This must be programmed. guarantee based on the actual work experience of the staff. Therefore, the design quality of the process plan mainly depends on the experience and level of the technical personnel.
