Generally, the chuck used for bench drills has higher precision requirements, while the chuck used for hand drills has relatively lower precision. The clamping range is used to control the minimum and maximum diameters of the chuck clamping tool to meet work needs. Under normal circumstances, the maximum clamping range is only about 0.5mm larger than the specification of the chuck. If it exceeds too much, it will greatly waste materials and increase the production cost of the chuck. The minimum clamping range can theoretically be very small, but if it is too small, the manufacturer's scrap rate will increase and increase costs.
Therefore, considering all aspects, it is more reasonable to set the clamping range of 6, 10, 13, 16, and 20 mm chucks to 0.8-6, 0.8-10, 1.5-13, 3-16, and 5-20.
